Similar Stories to Stakeholders Seeking Creative Solution To Rainbow Falls Vandalism on Bing News

The quest to end vandalism at Rainbow Falls Recreation Area west of Manitou Springs is gaining steam once again. As repairs continue on the historic bridge that has been covered with spray-painted graffiti for decades, county and state officials are turning to a local artist and his nonprofit organization Concrete Couch to come up with a solution to the tagging that blends artwork, history and local culture. The vision that Concrete Couch director Steve Wood and Rainbow Falls stakeholders like El Paso County Parks and the Colorado Department of Transportation have imagined over the last several months includes artwork covered tiles created by community volunteers that could adorn much of the underside of the bridge.
