A city man threatening suicide, and wanted by police for allegedly smashing his wife's head into a concrete pillar, was arrested Tuesday afternoon as two nearby schools were put on lock down. Lt. Diedrich Hohn said police were called to the area of the 32-year-old man's Broad Street home Monday evening on the report of a domestic dispute, and found his wife with a fresh injury to her face. Police said he then drove off in the family vehicle after saying he was going to commit suicide.
