LeBron James has reassured Miami fans he is committed to winning an NBA title with the Heat. One day after saying he would not rule out a return to play for the Cavaliers in the future, James did not back away from those comments. He said he answered questions about his future "truthfully."

There is one NBA star apparently not considering going overseas due to the lockout. ESPN's Chris Broussard reported on Thursday that, according to sources, Miami Heat star LeBron James is not looking to play overseas if the upcoming NBA season is canceled as a result of the lockout.

“All the people that were rooting for me to fail… at the end of the day, tomorrow they have to wake up and have the same life that (they had) before they woke up today,” James said. “They got the same personal problems they had today. And I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things I want to do.”

The Miami Heat have struck first in the NBA finals.  LeBron James scored 24 points for his first win in five finals-game appearances, Dwyane Wade added 22 points and 10 rebounds and the Heat beat the Dallas Mavericks 92-84 in Game 1 of the title series Tuesday night.
