Chiefs top Browns, are off to best start in five years

Two wins in one week have the Kansas City Chiefs off to a shocking start.

Brandon Flowers returned an interception for a touchdown, Ryan Soccup kicked three field goals and the Chiefs converted a late fourth-down gamble by coach Todd Haley for a 16-14 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

'Ideal situation': Chiefs announce new coach Haley

Todd Haley was hired as coach of the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday after helping the Arizona Cardinals reach the Super Bowl as coordinator of one of the NFL's most exciting offenses.

Haley joins a team that went a franchise-worst 2-14 under coach Herm Edwards, who was fired Jan. 23. Edwards lost all but two of his last 25 games and launched a rebuilding project that made the Chiefs the league's youngest team this season.
