Couple accused of abducting kids returned to Florida, placed under arrest

Police say Joshua Hakken tied his mother-in-law up around 6:00 a.m. last Wednesday in Tampa and drove off with the two children, who were still in their pajamas. After ditching a black pickup truck that was later recovered by police, the Hakkens apparently boarded a blue 25-foot sailboat and left John's Pass Marina in Madeira Beach, Fla., bound for Cuba.

Jury finds ‘Rockefeller’ guilty of kidnapping

A Boston jury rendered a guilty verdict in the Clark Rockefeller trial, convicting the German-born man of kidnapping his daughter during a supervised visit last summer. His ex-wife, Sandra Boss, a Harvard-educated executive at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Co., testified that she believed her husband's stories about his past for much of their 12-year marriage. It was only when she hired a private investigator during their 2007 divorce that she realized he "was not the person he'd said he was," she said.
