It might have been easier for him since it was just a prostitute. Edwards not only had a mistress, he also had an illegitimate child with her and then tried to cover it up. It's the stuff of movies. I'm not sure how he should fight this. He should just come clean with everything, deal with the consequences, and put this whole chapter behind him. Dragging it on doesn't help.
