Tropical Storm Sandy on course to hit Jamaica

Tropical Storm Sandy, which formed in the western Caribbean Sea late Monday, is expected to become a hurricane on Wednesday as it approaches Jamaica, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. The storm was centered about 275 miles south-southwest of Kingston, Jamaica, and had top sustained winds of 50 miles per hour, the center said in an afternoon advisory.

 

Newly formed Karl joins hurricanes Julia, Igor

Tropical Storm Karl has formed formed in the Caribbean, heading on a path that's expected to take it over the Yucatan Peninsula, the National Hurricane Center said Tuesday afternoon.

Senh: Are they gonna merge and form the mother of all hurricanes? Or are they gonna duke it out to see who's the baddest of them all?

 

Hurricane Jimena nears Baja California

With winds of 115 mph, Hurricane Jimena has Mexico's Baja California peninsula in its sights. The Category 3 storm is expected to to moved toward Baja California, according to the National Hurricane Center.
