Five-year-old girl abducted from her bed and assaulted

A 5-year-old girl was abducted from her Springfield house while she was sleeping early Saturday morning and assaulted outside the home before she returned, police said. Police were called to a townhouse in the 7000 block of Brocton Court shortly after 4 a.m. Detectives determined that an unknown man broke into the house sometime after midnight, went upstairs and took the girl from her bed. The victim’s parents and 1-year-old sibling were in the home at the time of the abduction, according to Fairfax County police spokesman Officer Don Gotthardt.
