'America's Got Talent' Tops 'So You Think You Can Dance'

By John Consoli, The Wrap Reality shows were king last night over repeat scripted fare on the broadcast networks. Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" was in a virtual tie last night with NBC's "America's Got Talent" for the highest rated program of the night among adults 18-49 at a 2.8 each, but "Talent" clearly drew the most overall viewers, averaging 10 million compared to "Dance's" 7.3 million. "Dance" also won the night among adults 18-34 and teens.

 

Smaller 'Idol' Audience

Wednesday's finale of "American Idol" handily beat the ratings competition but the audience of 24.2 million was about 15% smaller than last year's.
