Hawks dismiss coach Mike Woodson after 6 seasons

The Atlanta Hawks have let coach Mike Woodson go after leading the team to their third straight playoffs.

Senh: That didn't take long. He's just the scapegoat. He did the best he could with the talent he had. They got swept by Orlando, reigning Eastern Conference Champions and just a better team. The coaching isn't the issue here. It's the talent. The Atlanta Hawks just didn't have enough talent to beat Orlando. They need a good post player/defender. Well, pretty much every team needs one of those.

Hawks use inside power to get past Pacers 110-98

Atlanta coach Mike Woodson knows his team is almost unbeatable at home. He's just trying to get the Hawks to believe they can play just as well on the road -- all the time. On Saturday, they did. The Hawks used their strong frontline tandem of Al Horford and Josh Smith to overpower Indiana for a 110-98 victory, a game in which Atlanta never trailed.
