Andy Murray has won the U.S. Open in five grueling sets to become the first British man since 1936 to capture a Grand Slam title.

They'll be back on the court Saturday - their third straight day of tennis at a tournament that has been forced into some drastic scheduling changes after losing two days to the rain.

Defending champ Rafael Nadal took full advantage of a fresh start, dominating Gilles Muller when their rain-delayed match resumed at the U.S. Open.

Novak Djokovic, the 24-year-old Serbian who is 47-1 this season, beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, while Rafael Nadal, the defending champion, ousted Andy Murray.
