In Obama's Hometown, Billionaire Support Favors GOP

It may be the president’s turf, but Chicago is also Mitt Romney’s kind of town. Two Illinois billionaires have donated a combined $1.1 million to Restore Our Future, the super PAC supporting Romney’s presidential campaign. Hedge funder Kenneth Griffin has given $1,050,000 and real estate baron Sam Zell has given $100,000. Both men also contributed to American Crossroads, the super PAC founded by Republican strategist Karl Rove. Griffin has given $1 million since August and Zell has contributed $100,000. Griffin also sent $440,000 to the Republican Governors Association this year.
