Engram eyes Pro Day, NFL visits, says he’d choose Ole Miss all over again

I visited with Evan Engram a while at practice Tuesday.
He really improved his draft stock with his work at the Senior Bowl and the combine. Next up for Engram is Pro Day at Ole Miss on Monday.
Beyond Pro Day he’s already scheduled trips to visit the Bears, Panthers and Rams. The Saints have shown a lot of interest in Engram too.
The analysis at NFL.com has high praise for Engram and also indicates a number of areas in which he can improve.
He’s projected as a second- or third-round pick.

 

Freeze gives mixed reviews to red zone work

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze hired offensive coordinator Phil Longo seeking — among other things — improved efficiency in the red zone.
Freeze gave mixed reviews on the red zone after today’s practice. He was pleased with the continued physicality of the defensive front, Breeland Speaks in particular.
Speaks and other linemen are working to get used to slight changes in technique with new DL coach Freddie Roach.

Ole Miss rallies past Little Rock, 5-4

OXFORD – Michael Fitzsimmons’ walk-off pinch-hit scored Kyle Watson in the 10th inning as No. 19 Ole Miss rallied to beat Little Rock 5-4 on Tuesday.

 

Bulldogs begin Final Four preparations

Mississippi State now knows it will face defending national champion and No. 1 ranked Connecticut in the Final Four on Friday. Before leaving for Dallas, Bulldogs’ head coach Vic Schaefer spoke with the media about the match-up along with seniors Dominique Dillingham and Breanna Richardson.
