For 500 families, Thanksgiving turkeys were obtained on Saturday, during the fifth year of the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. The event was sponsored by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, Community Network Services, the City of Pontiac and Oakland Integrated Healthcare Network, who partnered to purchase the turkeys and then handed them out on Saturday at Pontiac's city hall.
