Looking at the sectors faring worst as of midday Thursday, shares of Energy companies are underperforming other sectors, showing a 1.4% loss. Within that group, Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) and Southwestern Energy Company (NYSE: SWN) are two of the day's laggards, showing a loss of 4.5% and 4.2%, respectively.
