Now that avian influenza is circulating among dairy cattle in at least 12 states in the U. S. and has infected three dairy workers, health experts are keeping a close eye on whether people can be infected from consuming infected milk or meat.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is considering banning face masks for riders using the city’s subway system because she has received reports of antisemitic incidents perpetrated by people wearing masks.
During a news conference Thursday, Hochul said she had started speaking to lawmakers about the possibility of drafting a bill. But she acknowledged that the issue was complicated, since many people wear masks for health, religious, and cultural reasons.
The annual Trooping the Colour event, which celebrates the official birthday of the Sovereign in the United Kingdom, takes place on Saturday, June 15 this year. Though King Charles III’s actual birthday is on November 14, Trooping the Colour has been the ceremonial celebration of the monarch’s birthday since 1748.
