By Jake Zuckerman USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue traversed the Mountain State on Wednesday, speaking to the National Association of State Foresters, hosting a listening session with the Agriculture and Rural Prosperity task force, and touring a "lavender mine" at the Green Mining Model Business Program in Hernshaw. While the United States Department of Agriculture might not appear to have much of a connection to the rhetoric of the Donald Trump administration, there was an exchange about immigration - one of the issues that Trump campaigned on from the day he announced his candidacy - during a listening event in Charleston on Wednesday afternoon. Trump has, among other things, promised to build a border wall to keep illegal immigrants from Mexico out.
