Denver International Airport is gearing up for a record number of passengers this Memorial Day weekend, meaning travelers can expect a busy trip and long waits, airport officials said. Between Thursday and Tuesday, DIA officials expect nearly 450,000 passengers to pass through Transportation Security Administration checkpoints, according to a news release.

This month, Tacos Tequila Whiskey opened its first DIA location in Concourse A near Gate A18. Morrison is working with Greenwood Village-based airport concessionaire Skyport Hospitality to operate the fast-casual Mexican restaurant. “We had just lost an airport proposal four weeks prior, and I felt rejected and down when [Skyport] first called,” Morrison said.
