Those hoping to cool off at Water World in Federal Heights will have to wait till next summer. The water park announced Tuesday that it will not be opening for the 2020 season due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. “At this time and in direct consultation with public officials, there is no indication that an aquatic park of our size and scope, which operates with larger guest attendance, will be permitted to open within our short summer operating season,” Water World Director Bob Owens wrote in a letter on the company website.
