Similar Stories to Windows Phone Up To 150,000 Apps, But Lags Android And Ios on Bing News

Microsoft announced last week that it had doubled the number of apps available on Windows Phone in 2012 to 150,000. For comparison, market leaders iOS and Android both have 700,000 apps on their platforms as of September and November, respectively. Presumably those numbers have continued to rise. Amazon's Appstore had 50,000 apps as of September, but Amazon has taken a very different approach, carefully selecting apps for quality and sales potential.
