I’ve never hesitated to tell anyone who’ll listen that I did all my training, from college through med school then a general surgery residency, my cardiothoracic surgery fellowship and several years afterwards, on the faculty at Johns Hopkins. It’s certainly one of the best pedigrees you could wish for at one of the world’s top institutions.
