Slightly more than 1 in 3 Texas kids age 10 to 17 were overweight or obese last year - a rate higher than the national average but slightly improved from five years ago, new health-care findings show. A report released this week by the Trust for America's Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation looked at all states and found Texas youth ranked 15th worst in the nation with 33.3 percent of its youth overweight or obese. Tennessee ranked the worst at 37.7 percent while Utah's youth had the least amount of overweight and obese kids at 19.2 percent.
