43 Republican Senators. Bush 41 was able to get 11 Democrats to approve-good job. Most were from red states but one, Dixon(Illinois) was the only real profile in courage and paid the price a year later by losing the primary to Carol Mosley Braun. Our turncoats were Bob Packwood and Jim Jeffords.
