LIBERTY – Three confirmed cases of pertussis have been identified in children in Sullivan County this week, following an outbreak of the disease that began in the summer, Sullivan County Public Health Services officials said Thursday.Nearly 30 confirmed cases of pertussis — also known as whooping cough — and dozens of probable cases have been investigated and treated over the past several months, said Nancy McGraw, the county’s public health director.
