JERUSALEM — Israel said Saturday it rescued four hostages who were kidnapped in the Hamas-led attack on Oct. 7, the largest such recovery operation since the war began in Gaza. At least 55 Palestinians including children were killed as heavy fighting continued around the sites in central Gaza, the Health Ministry said, and more dead continued to arrive.

Israel’s army said it rescued Noa Argamani, 25; Almog Meir Jan, 21; Andrey Kozlov, 27; and Shlomi Ziv, 40, in two locations in a complex daytime operation in the heart of Nuseirat on Saturday morning, raiding the two places at once and under fire.
Argamani had been one of the most widely recognized hostages after being abducted from a music festival in southern Israel.
LAKEWOOD — When David Clabaugh took over Thunder Valley Motocross Park in 1999, he opened his wallet and his mind.
Clabaugh, a lifelong racer and track promoter, poured an estimated $1.5 million into the track in an effort to bring a national race back to Colorado. And while he did that, he was also busy traveling around to stops on the American Motorcyclist Association’s Pro Motocross Championship circuit, taking on odd jobs as a means to reach his goal.
“I would hang banners, I would pound stakes, I would move hay bales, all while getting to know all of the people on the pro circuit,” Clabaugh said.

For those keeping track at home, Wilson received a five-year, $242.5 million contract extension with $161 million guaranteed in September 2022.
BUFFALO, N. Y. — Let’s just get this out of the way up front: There are not a lot of players in recent NHL history who easily compare to Jonathan Drouin’s current situation.
With most pending unrestricted free agents, it’s not that difficult to find players with a similar statistical profile.

Dear Amy: Forty-two years ago, my uncle died by suicide. I was very young at the time, and for years was told that he died in a car crash.
It was only by accident that I discovered that he had taken his own life. He had a troubled life. It seems he never really felt at home in the world.
