7 More Sentenced In National Guard Recruiting Scam In Texas

HOUSTON (AP) — Seven more National Guard members in Texas are going to prison or must serve probation in a scam to collect recruiting bonuses. Prosecutors in Houston on Thursday announced penalties in cases blamed for more than $170,000 in government losses. The military personnel were convicted of charges ranging from conspiracy, bribery and wire fraud to aggravated identity theft. Jammie Martin of Katy was sentenced to 102 months.
