Eight people were hurt in a fire that tore through a Brooklyn high-rise Saturday afternoon, authorities said. The fire started at 2:51 p.m. on the first floor of the 16-story apartment building at 2250 West 11th Street in Gravesend, an FDNY spokesman said. The extent of the injuries is unknown.
