The board depicts a map of medieval Europe divided into 16 regions. Each region has room for a certain number of peasants and citizens as well as cities. A time-line documents the play progress and the indvidual play phases; a prestige table keeps control of each players prestige level and a number of informative detail are displayed on the board for the convenience of the players.
