It was the Ophelia Averitt Love Fest.That’s the only way to describe the celebration that drew 200 people to the Tangier restaurant on Saturday evening to honor the woman who headed Akron’s branch of the NAACP for 21 years.There were testimonials, proclamations, music and dinner to honor Averitt who retired last January.
