Building off a new alliance with the University at Albany, the program will allow students to cross-register with UAlbany's new College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity, the nation's first security college. "Among those who develop, implement and manage information security programs, there is a huge need for specialists with a firm hold on the legal implications of cybersecurity and data privacy," said Antony Haynes, an associate dean for strategic initiatives and information systems at the law school who will lead the initiative. The program will train students in the areas of data protection, privacy and information security law; cybercrime, cyberwarfare and cybersecurity law; and electronic discovery, digital forensics and digital evidence.
