Allow Extra Time When Heading Downtown For Sunday's Marathon

With downtown streets busy with construction, organizers of Sunday's Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon and related events said runners and spectators should arrive early. "Please allow extra time to find parking and get to where you need to be the day of the race," said Kristen Torkelson, communications specialist with MAPS 3 streetcar consulting firm ADG. The marathon begins at the Oklahoma National Memorial & Museum and ends in Automobile Alley on N Broadway Avenue, both areas where streetcar rail installation is ongoing. Construction is being curtailed and temporary pavement laid as needed so the course is ready. "There will be a minimum amount of fencing, most of the cones will be gone," said David Todd, the MAPS 3 program manager, "so it will look like Broadway should look.Read more on NewsOK.com
