Amarillo Isd Starts Initiative To Arm Students With 21st Century Skills

A group of Amarillo community members and educators met Tuesday to tackle the issue of how to best prepare graduates for the rapidly changing 21st century and the local workforce. The focus of the meeting at Amarillo’s Region 16 Education Service Center was figuring out how best to broaden Amarillo Independent School District’s teaching focus beyond just core knowledge — like math, science, English and social studies — to include 21st century skills. read more
