Amarillo police say a vehicle stolen with a 1-year-old child asleep inside has been located near Third Avenue and McMasters Street. The child is safe, police said. No arrests have been made and no description of a suspect or suspects is yet known. Around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, police said a silver 2001 Nissan Xterra sport-utility vehicle was stolen from the 2600 block of Linda Drive. The vehicle was located around 10 p.m.
