AMRI (Nasdaq: AMRI), a drug-discovery company based in Albany, New York, has named Ian Shott president of AMRI Europe. Shott will report directly to AMRI chairman, president and CEO Thomas D’Ambra. AMRI said Shott fills a newly created position. He will oversee business operations in Wales and the United Kingdom and work with the European-based development team. Shott was the founder and CEO of Excelsyn, which AMRI acquired in 2010.
