CEDAR RAPIDS — Slowly, but surely, the Cedar River is continuing to fall.After cresting around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, the river crept down to 21.1 feet overnight, according to the National Weather Service. The river could be back below 20 feet by early Thursday morning, the National Weather Service projects.Projections show the river remaining in major flood stage — above 16 feet — until Friday morning.
