Appeals Court Allows Colorado Company To Open Uranium Mine Near Grand Canyon

A federal appeals court has upheld a lower-court ruling clearing the way for a Colorado company to open a uranium mine near the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona. Lakewood-based Energy Fuels Inc. wants to open the Canyon Mine several miles south of the Grand Canyon's south rim off Highway 64, one of the main approaches to the famed national park.

Asia is lagging on climate change spending, bank study finds

Asian countries’ financing needs to cope with climate change ranging from $102 billion to $431 billion a year—far exceeding the $34 billion committed in 2021-2022.
