Arizona Still A Nuclear State With Palo Verde Pumping Out Power

While many in Arizona are looking a for a sunshine-fueled solar future, the state primarily has been nuclear powered with Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, and last year was no exception. Arizona Public Service Co. said Monday that Palo Verde finished 2012 as the largest power plant provider of electricity in the U.S., pushing out 31.9 million megawatt-hours of electricity. To put that in perspective, the Energy Information Administration states the average home uses 11,496 kilowatt-hours…
