KINGSPORT — After completing a five-year service in the Army, Charles Payne knew he wanted to do two things: travel and give back. To combine those two goals, Payne embarked on a nearly yearlong mission trip to 11 countries, during which he served orphans, homeless, refugees and others in need. “I wanted to contribute in some way,” Payne said.
