(AP) — Prosecutors in San Bernardino County, California, have filed felony assault charges against three sheriff's deputies involved in the televised beating of a suspect after he tried to escape on horseback.District Attorney Mike Ramos said Tuesday that Nicholas Downey, Michael Phelps and Charles Foster each face a charge of assault by a public officer.Seven other deputies placed on administrative leave were not charged.The county Sheriff's Department submitted its investigation to the district attorney last month.A KNBC-TV helicopter news crew followed the April chase as Frances Jared Pusok fled deputies on a stolen horse.
