URBANA — David Hard, 38, of Rantoul was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse during his arraignment Friday at the Champaign County Courthouse.
Hard was arrested Thursday in Rantoul for allegedly inappropriately touching a minor, according to Julie Ogle, spokeswoman for State's Attorney Julie Rietz.
Two young cousins alone and lost in the Appalachian woods ate sticks and slept on the ground during a 20-hour ordeal that ended when searchers found them unharmed Friday in the rugged terrain in the Red River Gorge area of Kentucky, the mother of one boy said. The boys, ages 5 and 7, were found about a mile from the family's campsite in the popular recreation area, Kentucky State Police Trooper Joe Veeneman said.
Flood advisory issued for areas along river
Jacksonville’s National Weather Service office has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for low-lying areas along the city’s river and tributaries for this weekend and into early next week.
Residents are encouraged to use caution when traveling in the San Marco, Southampton and Ortega neighborhoods, especially during high tides, due to the potential of road flooding.
High tides are expected to occur at the Southbank Riverwalk at these times:
