Augusta Man Accused Of Armed Robbery

An Augusta man is accused of armed robbery after deputies say he held a woman at gunpoint early Saturday. De’Andre James Wright, 22, of Normandy Place, has been charged with one count of armed robbery, according to Richmond County jail records. About 1:45 a.m., Richmond County sheriff’s deputies were called to the Hampton Inn at 3030 Washington Road in reference to the theft, according to a report. read more
