This story will be updated. OLD TOWN, Maine — Authorities pulled an individual from the Penobscot River Thursday morning, though it’s not yet clear what happened. Two rescue boats took an individual out of the water near the Penobscot Nation Reservation around 11:30 a.m. as a helicopter circled overhead. Locals who watched the event unfold from Riverside Park in Old Town said authorities had been searching the area since about 10 a.m. Police were not immediately available to provide details Thursday.
