PORTLAND — Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a woman who went missing under strange circumstances. KATU reports that Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff’s office says 23-year-old Demi Helenius attended the Landmark Worldwide Forum at the Embassy Suites Hotel near the Portland airport Saturday night. Thompson says the conference ended at 10 p.m. Helenius lives with her mother and is usually good about calling and texting when she leaves somewhere. But Helenius did not call Saturday night and never returned home. Thompson says Helenius’ phone was given to a worker at a Dairy Queen in Creswell, Ore., on Saturday night by a man passing through the drive through. Her car was found in Cottage Grove, about 10 miles south of Creswell on Interstate 5.
