Colorado spent the past two weeks trudging through a disastrous road trip. Maybe the Avalanche were homesick. Because one shot of sold out Pepsi Center energy exploded Saturday afternoon into arguably the team’s most dominant performance this season. The Avalanche defeated the Kings 7-1 to tie a season-high for goals scored. The win gives Colorado (22-18-8) newfound momentum after a six-week span in which it won only two of 12 games.
