After doing seemingly everything wrong in its previous six home games, the Avalanche mixed up its lines Monday night and finally found a winning recipe in front of a near-sellout crowd of 17,808 at the Pepsi Center. The Avs, who had been outscored 28-9 during their six-game losing streak in front of friendly faces, got plenty of scoring, perfect penalty killing and excellent goaltending in a 3-0 victory over the playoff-bound Vegas Golden Knights, the defending Western Conference champions. Forwards Tyson Jost, Andrew Agozzino and Matt Calvert produced Colorado’s goals and netminder Semyon Varlamov looked like the Varlamov of old, making multiple flashy saves at key times.
