From Staff ReportsOklahoma County City of Midwest City Proposition: A 3/4-cent sales tax increase to fund the hiring of six new police officers and three new firefighters. Midwest City-Del City Public Schools Proposition 1: A $121.3 million bond issue to fund construction projects including new classrooms at Schwartz Elementary School and Carl Albert, Monroney and Kerr middle schools. Proposition 2: A $9.3 million bond issue to fund the purchase of transportation equipment. Western Heights Public Schools Proposition 1: A $41.76 million bond issue for construction projects, including a new Fine Arts and Science Academy and a new English Language Learner/Heritage Center. Proposition 2: A $2.2 million bond issue to fund the purchase of 22 new buses. Putnam City Public Schools Proposition 1: A $19.6 million bond issue for construction projects and other expenses, including the completion of Capps Middle School and the purchase of classroom technology. Proposition 2: A $2.4 million bond issue to fund the purchase of new buses. McClain County Purcell Public Schools Proposition 1: A $29.27 million bond issue to fund construction projects and other expenses, including a new junior high school, renovations at Conger Field and new band uniforms. Proposition 2: A $675,000 bond issue to fund the purchase of eight new buses. Pottawatomie County Macomb Public Schools Proposition 1: A $1.62 million bond issue for construction projects and other expenses.
