Bank Of England: Referendum Biggest Risk Facing Financial Markets

Following in the footsteps of the Federal Reserve and the Bank of Japan, the Bank of England today held base rates steady at record low of 0.5%. The country's central bank also left its asset repurchase program unchanged. This is the 87th consecutive month that the Bank's Monetary Policy Committee voted to keep rates steady. The monetary policy committee again this month gave a stark warning about the impact of an exit from the European Union.
