Banking Slows Overall, But More Are Going Mobile

By Dale DenwaltStaff writerddenwalt@oklahoman.comCOVID-19 has pushed more people online in their everyday transactions, including those with banks.While mobile banking was already an option for many bank customers before the coronavirus pandemic, restrictions on business operations and personal choices to remain distant from others triggered an uptick in the number of people going online to handle their money.BancFirst reported its mobile banking logins increased by 28% last month compared to March, or about 3.15 million unique logins, said Jay Hannah, executive vice president for financial services."We experienced both increased adoption and increased usage across all mobile platforms when comparing April activity to March," Hannah said.Read more on NewsOK.com
