Five years is a relatively short amount of time all things considered, yet in a place like the DC Universe, where everything can change at the drop of a hat or the ping of a Mother Box, those years add up. Writer Ray Fawkes continues his Futures End treatment of the Dark Knight, offering an understated yet no less riveting installment that opens a number of old wounds, both physical and psychological. Whereas many of DC's Futures End titles open to vastly different characters and extreme circumstances, Batman and Robin #1 feels very much in tune with the book's initial premise.
