Biddeford Woman Tries To Smash Out Cruiser Window With Head

A Biddeford woman tried to smash out the window of a police cruiser with her head after her arrest by York County Sheriff’s Office deputies Saturday. Police said Paula Gagne, 53, was arrested Saturday night after police checked on her after receiving reports that she was sitting in a snow bank on Mountain Road in Arundel. She had told a passerby that family members were abusing her, police said. Police said Gagne, who faced outstanding arrest warrants for violating a protection order and her conditions of release, was uncooperative and tried to flee when the deputies approached.
